Ever wanted to write a family covenant? Here are some tips. 1. Read Colossians 3:12-17 aloud.2. Make a list of the values that are important to your family. Begin with those you find in Colossians. Add others that are important to you. Encourage everyone to add another bible verse or two. Here’s an example that I stumbled onto recently. “Our family holds these values dear: kindness, patience, forgiving each other, laughing together, time together, helping others, and praying for each other. All this we do because we love God and thank God for creating us and loving us so much, because we love one another and God’s whole creation, and because we want to be faithful followers of Jesus Christ. “Write a covenant, have members of your family sign it and decide where to keep or hang it. Once a week, at a family meal, renew your covenant together.
